Deception

What is it? The act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid. The first time we see this is in Genesis 3: 1-13 “Satan” slithers up to Eve and plants a seed of deception. He lied!!(John 8:44)”for he is a liar and the father of lies. What we see next is the same schemes he deploys today: Eve first heard the lie, then she dwelt on it, and ultimately acted on it,Now this was not a week long process we have to see that, this happened in seconds, she had been deceived and sinned against God. Why? Because she did not consider her choices in light of God’s Word. Let’s not follow in Eve’s footsteps quietly say.... Father, open my eyes so I won’t be deceived by satan’s lies. Amen
